Children grow and change so quickly, and everyday moments quietly become memories before we realise it.
So often, one person ends up behind the camera; capturing everything, but rarely being in the photos themselves. As a parent, I know how easy it is to have a camera roll full of moments that don’t include you.
Family sessions are a chance to change that; to step in, be present, and be part of the memories you’ll look back on for years to come.
They’re relaxed, playful and child-led, allowing personalities to shine and natural interactions to unfold; capturing your family as you are, right now.
Because these are the moments your children will look back on one day too
Outdoors or at Home
Most sessions take place outdoors, making the most of natural light, open space and beautiful surroundings. Whether it’s a woodland walk, a local park, or somewhere meaningful to your family, outdoor sessions allow children (and pets) the freedom to relax and be themselves.
Family shoots have taken place at various locations such as Sherwood Pines, Padley Gorge, Curbar Edge and other Peak District locations. If you need help with some suggestions we can discuss what sort of location you'd ideally like but also more than happy to be guided by you as I love exploring new places too!
If you’d prefer something more personal, in-home lifestyle sessions are also available; perfect for quieter moments, new arrivals, or simply capturing your family in a familiar space.

Family Session pricing
One relaxed hour to capture your family as you are
A full hour gives us time to slow down, settle in and let your family simply enjoy being together. Rather than rushing through a short session, there’s time for children to get comfortable, stop for a drink or snack if they need one, play a few games, explore, go for a walk or just enjoy some time together.
That extra breathing space often makes all the difference. The more relaxed everyone feels, the more naturally those genuine smiles, little interactions and moments of connection happen; and those are the photographs I love to capture.
Your session includes:

Up to 1 hour of photography

Outdoor location or relaxed in-home session

A private online gallery of your professionally edited images

A minimum of 25 digital images to download and keep

A mix of natural, candid moments and gently guided portraits

The option to purchase printed products through your gallery
Need a little more time?
If you have a bigger group or want to capture more images and you'd like to make the session longer, additional time can be added at £50 per 30 minutes.
And if you're not sure an hour is right for your family, that's absolutely fine. Some families, locations or circumstances may suit a shorter session, while others benefit from having a little longer. I'm always happy to have a chat beforehand and work out what will suit you best.

Prices are based on travel within 25 miles of Alfreton, DE55, we are happy to travel further however additional travel charges may apply.
A deposit of £25 is required to secure your session with the remainder payable after the gallery has been delivered. Payment plans are available upon request and are discussed on an individual basis.

These are sessions set in natural, outdoor environments, perfect for capturing a few special moments at key times of the year.
